1st Announcement and Call for Papers for the 20th EBSA Conference, 25-28 April 2017 Madrid, Spain

ebsa2The European Biosafety Association is pleased to announce its 20th Annual Conference to be held from the 25 to 28 April 2017 in Madrid, Spain.

In line with the conference theme “The diverse world of Biosafety”, the pre-conference courses (25 and 26 April 2017) and conference sessions (27 and 28 April 2017) will provide an attractive program to learn, exchange and further improve biosafety practice. All information will be regularly updated as more details become available onhttp://www.ebsaweb.eu/ebsa20. If your organisation or company wants to sponsor or exhibit at the conference, you can find all information here.

Registration and a special deal for the conference hotel will be open as of November 2016.

Call for papers: you are invited to submit papers for oral presentation within the main conference sessions. In particular speaker slots have been reserved for papers that fit with one of the following themes:

  • Biosafety in hospital settings
  • Biosafety and vector organisms
  • Ethics of biosafety
  • Applied biosafety
The person presenting a paper selected for oral presentation will benefit from having the conference registration fee waived.
At the same time papers can be submitted for poster presentation on any biosafety related subject.
Submissions of papers for oral or poster presentations can be made via the conference website.

Please note the following deadlines:

5 December 2017        Deadline submission for oral presentation
10 January 2017          Deadline application sponsored participants
27 January 2017          Deadline submission for poster presentation

1st Annual Biorisk Management Symposium, Tunis-Tunisia, 4-8 April 2017

Aim of the symposium
This regional symposium aims to take advantage of international expertise from around the world to build a sustainable forum exchange on the various topics related to biorisk management and biotechnology issues challenges in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The symposium will be a valuable opportunity to build capacities, promote networking, be updated with the current development on biosafety and biosecurity and certainly identify new ideas, exchange R&D results and innovating policies.

Who should attend
The 1st edition of BIORIM Tunisia 2017 is intended to bring together people working across biorisk management, biotechnology and genetic engineering fields in universities, hospitals, government and the private sector.
