Xavier Morey-Besner

IFBA’s Program Assistant

Xavier Morey-Besner is the IFBA’s Program Assistant and is responsible for active communication with members on a wide variety of issues related to global biosafety and biosecurity as well as implementing new and creative engagement initiatives among members.

Xavier is currently is enrolled in an Honour’s Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Carleton University. His goal is to one day be a conservation ecologist that studies animal behaviour and animal interactions within different environments. Xavier is also heavily involved in his community through Scouts Canada achieving the Medal of the Maple, and Order of the Caribou for exceptional service to the Scouting movement through event planning and leadership skills. Xavier’s knack for academia and perseverance through heavy workloads allows him to get tasks done in an orderly manner.
