We would like to cordially invite you to our 15th Annual Biosafety Conference with the theme of “Biorisk Management: Building Global Resilience During and Post COVID-19 Pandemic”, which will be held virtually, from 21st to 24th September 2022. The annual conference and workshop aim to provide a forum exchange on the various developments on biosafety at the global level, with a special area of interest to the Asia-Pacific Region. Topic of discussion ranges from global biorisk issues to technical scientific knowledge sharing relevant to biosafety professionals in the region. International biosafety experts and professionals from around the world and the region will be speaking and sharing their knowledge and experiences.

This year, the annual A-PBA Biorisk Conference aims to gather global, regional, national biorisk experts and professionals to deliberate issues pertaining to biosafety and biosecurity. The highlight of the conference is focus on matters concerning COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, the theme of this conference is “Biorisk Management: Building Global Resilience During and Post COVID-19 Pandemic”. International biosafety experts and professionals from around the world will be gathered via virtual platform to share their knowledge and experiences learned from this pandemic. Topics to be delivered are include rules and regulation framework for COVID-19, operation in biomedical laboratory, material control and accountability (MC&A), collection, packaging and transportation of COVID-19 samples, diagnosis and monitoring SARS-CoV2 and building global resilience during COVID-19 pandemic (experience sharing from the region/associations). Furthermore, the ISO 35001:2019 on biorisk management for laboratories and other related organisations will be further discussed.

This virtual conference will provide interactive sessions for all biosafety experts, professional, sponsors, exhibitors and participants to exchange their knowledge and experiences, as well as to establish strong partnership and widen the scope of collaboration.
