We would like to highlight the ASM Biothreats Conference, to be held February 12-14, 2018 in Baltimore, Maryland. The program has been expanded this year to include track on high consequence pathogen research, biological threat reduction, product development and policy. The conference will include leaders and experts in academia, industry and government and provide an opportunity to present and discuss the latest developments in biological threats.

In addition this year we will be hosting a pre-meeting symposium for early career scientists, policy professionals, industry and academics on February 11. The goal of this symposium is to create a space for students, post-doctoral fellows and early career professionals to present their research to their peers and engage in interactive conversations in a supportive, peer-to-peer environment.
