Dr. Miguel Martin N. Moreno II is a physician, scientist, and certified biosafety professional with over 18 years of contributions to laboratory biosafety and biosecurity in the Philippines. As the founding president of the BioRisk Association of the Philippines since 2015 (BRAP2015), he has significantly advanced the specialty in his country. Dr. Moreno was among the first 19 graduates of the US Department of State’s Biosecurity Engagement Program-led Advanced Biosafety Officers training in 2011. He is a lifetime member of BRAP and the Asia-Pacific Biosafety Associations, as well as a member of ABSA in the US. Currently, he chairs the IFBA Board, promoting safe handling practices and ethical standards.
