Dr. Ndekya Oriyo is a global health expert with over 20 years of experience in public health, academia and research. Currently, she serves as Director of M&E, Research, and Learning at Amref Health Africa Tanzania. With a PhD in Medical Microbiology from University College London, she has led research on infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and global health security. Nationally and internationally, Dr. Oriyo has contributed to IHR/GHSA Joint External Evaluations (JEE), serves as a councillor for the Tanzania Biological Safety Association (TaBSA), and is a member of the National Biosafety and Biosecurity Technical Working Group. Her work advances health security with a commitment to sustainable biosafety and biosecurity.
