As we look ahead to 2026 and beyond, the Board of Directors of the International Federation of Biosafety Associations (IFBA) is proud to announce the release of the 2026-2030 Strategic Plan, Connecting the World: Building a Resilient Framework for Global Biosecurity and Biosafety.

This strategic plan sets a clear and ambitious direction for IFBA over the next five years, responding to a rapidly evolving biological risk landscape by strengthening resilient, adaptive, and globally connected approaches to biosecurity and biosafety. Grounded in IFBA’s mission and informed by extensive engagement with member associations and partners worldwide, it reflects our collective commitment to advancing safe, secure, and responsible work with biological materials across all regions. Anchored around six interconnected priorities, the plan serves as a living framework to guide IFBA’s programs and partnerships as we work together to translate strategy into meaningful action and measurable impact in the years ahead.
