The IFBA is currently developing a new certification in Cyberbiosecurity which identifies individuals with demonstrated competencies in the mitigation of cybersecurity risks within biological laboratories including Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) risks in order to protect sensitive biological research, data, databases, and laboratory facilities and equipment against illicit or unauthorized access, theft, tampering, or other forms of misuse.

The IFBA’s Cyberbiosecurity Technical Committee is now working with Caveon to validate the body of knowledge and develop the blueprint for the design and content of the examination. As part of this process, the international biosafety community is invited to complete a job task analysis, which will ask you to rate each task statement on the importance and frequency for competency in cyberbiosecurity for biological laboratories. Your contribution is essential to understanding the work performed and ensures your perspective is counted in the development of this new certification.

Please complete the survey no later than August 19, 2022. As a token of appreciation, everyone who completes the survey will automatically be entered into a draw for a free IFBA professional certification exam.
