Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) is a core priority for the IFBA and we continue to promote women in biosafety and biosecurity around the world. The IFBA’s Equity Coordinating Committee, in partnership with Global Affairs Canada, brought into focus the need for greater integration of DEI principles in the biosafety and biosecurity workforce, with a particular need for specific initiatives aimed at gender and age.
