Dr. Bintou Ahidjo is a Research Platform Manager and Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia. She got her PhD from Wits University (South Africa), and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins University (USA). She has over 20 years’ experience in infectious disease research in both pre-clinical and clinical laboratory settings. She is passionate about establishing and maintaining high safety and security standards across a range of scientific and technical disciplines. Bintou is equally passionate about DEI, and currently serves as Chair of IFBA’s ECC which serves to identify and implement objectives aimed towards sustainable equitable practice within global biosafety and biosecurity.
