Dr. Kelly Elimian is an epidemiologist with substantial expertise in strengthening biosecurity and healthcare systems in sub-Saharan Africa and is currently a Brown University Game Changers Biosecurity Fellow. Kelly has significantly contributed to Nigeria’s epidemic and pandemic preparedness, response strategies, and surveillance system. Kelly has a PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health and an MSc in Applied Epidemiology from the University of Nottingham, UK. He has completed two postdoctoral fellowships, first at Queen Margaret University in the UK and, more recently, at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden. Kelly’s blend of academic excellence and hands-on field experience positions him as a critical figure in biosecurity and biosafety in Africa.
