Dr. Nyambura Moremi is a Clinical Microbiologist and the Director of Tanzania National Public Health Laboratory with over a decade of experience in clinical practice, infectious disease research, program management and laboratory systems strengthening. She is the head of the Eastern Africa Centre of Excellence for Biosafety and Biosecurity, and was among the first cohort of the African Women Leaders who frontier biosafety and biosecurity matters to prevent next pandemics.
She has served as a consultant for the WHO, Africa CDC, African Society for Laboratory Medicine, Ending Pandemics and SACIDS Foundation. Her expertise spans Antimicrobial Resistance, laboratory policy and strategic plan development, and laboratory systems strengthening.
