Ray Kayaga is a veterinarian and IFBA certified professional in Biorisk Management & Risk Assessment. He holds a MSc. in Veterinary Microbiology. He works with the Tanzania Veterinary Laboratory Agency (TVLA) and currently pursuing his PhD in Health and Biomedical Sciences at Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology in Arusha, Tanzania. Ray is a competent and adaptable researcher both in the field and laboratory. He has worked with TVLA in collaboration with the Finnish Government on the project ‘Strengthening Health and Biosecurity’ in Tanzania through building capacity in biodetection in 2014-2023. He is frequently consulted by FAO-Tanzania in the delivery of biosafety & biosecurity training workshops.
