Mr. Abraham van Rensburg came from a General HVAC and Airconditioning background since leaving School in 2003, and joined his current company, Air Filter Maintenance Services International in 2012 as a trainee certifier. From 2012 up to 2015 he was qualified as a field technician and certifier, being part of the company service division, and conducting installation and certification of safety cabinets, fume hoods, clean benches, BSL3 laboratories and cleanrooms. During this period, he also completed numerous training courses within the USA and Canada. In 2015 he joined the company’s Project Division, under the guidance of the Company Director and mentor Mr. Gregers Chalker.

In 2016 he become the Projects Divisional Manager and still holds this position. AFMS Projects Division has designed, constructed and commissioned more than 50x BSL2 &3 Laboratories in Africa in the last 20 years, all in house. His division also designs, builds and commissions other critical airflow environments like cleanrooms, hospital operating theatres, oncology units and much more. Abraham enjoys the field of biosafety and biocontainment always looking to further his knowledge in all the principles of the field. He travels about 20 weeks of the year, all over the world, conducting site assessment with his engineering team, overseeing final completion of our facilities, as well as conduct the final certification and commissioning of these containment facilities and providing training to the end Users.
