The Global Voices Conference held January 22-24, 2025 in Arusha, Tanzania, has concluded with great success and helped to kick-start Canada’s 2025 presidency of the G7-led Global Partnership Against the Spread of Weapons and Materials of Mass Destruction. Under the central theme of “Celebrating Diversity in Biosafety and Biosecurity”, the event brought together a rich tapestry of ideas and perspectives with 216 delegates in attendance from 55 countries across the globe. A diverse mix of over 80 speakers, panelists and presenters fostered meaningful dialogue across regions leading to increased mutual understanding of the biosafety & biosecurity challenges we face and innovative solutions for mitigating these biological risks.

The IFBA and TaBSA would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our delegates, partners and sponsors for their invaluable contributions and collaborative spirit which played a crucial role in achieving positive results and making the Global Voices Conference so memorable. We look forward to building upon the success of this event and continuing our work together.

We invite you to watch the “Global Voices: Diversity is Strength” video launched during the opening ceremony of the conference.
