The IFBA is pleased to contribute to UNIDIR’s publication “Stakeholder Perspectives on the Biological Weapons Convention”. Advancing biological disarmament and strengthening biosecurity cannot be achieved by States Parties to the BWC alone. It requires collaboration with diverse stakeholders from around the globe, including biosafety associations and civil society.
Click here to read the full publication including “A perspective from biosafety and biosecurity professionals” submitted by IFBA Program Officer, Stephanie Norlock. In this chapter, Ms. Norlock illustrates ongoing activities and reflects on what more could be undertaken by biosafety associations and their diverse network of professionals that support enhancement of the BWC.
