ASLM, is pleased to announce a Request For Proposal for the selection of a consultant for Viral Load and Early Infant Diagnosis Laboratory Waste Management Country Assistance of the Pan-African Consortium (PAC). The PAC is a joint collaboration between the Institut de Recherche en Santé, de Surveillance Epidémiologique et de Formation/Cheikh Anta Diop University, the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention and the African Society for Laboratory Medicine.
Funded by the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, the PAC assists supported countries to further advance and sustain access to quality-assured HIV laboratory services, and bridge the gaps towards the UNAIDS 90-90-90 targets. The PAC will assist countries, local non-governmental organisations and implementing partners to develop and adopt frameworks for the implementation of quality-assured HIV diagnostics policies and procedures in all sub-Saharan African regions.
ASLM/PAC is soliciting vendors (including contractors, consultants, subject matter expects) to provide expert guidance along with sustainable, common sense and affordable viral load waste mitigation strategies to prevent further exacerbation of public health impact, and prevent future environmental consequences in Africa.
