Edgar E. Sevilla-Reyes

Dr. Sevilla-Reyes is a researcher in Infectious Diseases and Chair of the Institutional Biosafety Committee at the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases (INER) in Mexico City.

He has a Master’s Degree in Molecular Biology of Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and Ph.D. by the University of Glasgow in Virology. Dr. Sevilla-Reyes is the Founding President (2009) and an active member of the Mexican Biosafety Association (AMEXBIO). He has been a member of Certification Board at the International Federation of Biosafety Associations (IFBA) since its creation in 2014. Dr. Sevilla-Reyes is a Project leader for the adaptation of the CWA15793 document to the Mexican regulatory framework and for the development of guidelines for biological risk management for AMEXBIO (2014-2016).
