This year, the 2021 World Day for Safety and Health at Work focuses on building resilience safety systems in order to be prepared and respond to crises now and in the future. In the laboratory workplace, providing resiliency includes adopting a risk-based approach to biosafety practices and infrastructure that is locally driven and can be practically sustained over the long term. In this context, the International Federation of Biosafety Associations (IFBA) is engaging our global community of biosafety professionals to translate global biosafety guidelines into sustainable actions on the front lines.
