Benjamin Fontes started his career in Public Health at Harvard University before moving to Yale, where he’s a Senior Associate Director responsible the Biosafety program. Ben has an undergraduate degree in Biology and a Masters Degree in Public Health and Industrial Hygiene. He is a Certified Biological Safety Professional through the American Biological Safety Association (ABSA) International, where he has served as the 2010 President of the association. Ben has also served on the executive board of the International Federation of Biosafety Associations for 8 years and was Board Chair from 2014 – 2017. As a Sandia National Laboratories twin, he’s worked on projects with biosafety professionals from the MENA region, East Africa and Southeast Asia.
