Janet Hankins has been a biosafety practitioner for over a decade, following 18 years of working at the lab bench and completing a Masters degree in Public Health & Social Policy. She is a Registered Biological Safety Professional and a member of the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals. Janet currently manages a team of safety and hygiene professionals tasked with supporting the University of British Columbia’s community in their safe pursuit of excellence in research and teaching. She has also been fortunate to connect with Masinde Muliro University of Science & Technology’s Bachelor Degree Program in Biosafety and Biosecurity as a guest lecturer.
