AECUBIOS Objectives
1. Training and Education
o Organize workshops, seminars, and certifications
in biosafety and biosecurity.
o Develop continuing education programs for
professionals in the field.
2. Consulting and Support
o Provide technical support to laboratories,
hospitals, universities, and institutions to
implement biosafety systems.
o Develop guides, manuals, and protocols adapted
to the Ecuadorian context.
3. Research and Development
o Promote research projects in biosafety,
biosecurity, and biological risk management.
o Generate technical evidence to support public
policy decisions.
4. National and International Coordination
o Collaborate with ministries, universities,
associations, and international organizations.
o Represent Ecuador (AECUBIOS) in international
forums and collaborate with organizations such as
the IFBA (International Federation of Biosafety
Associations).
5. Awareness and Outreach
o Promote educational campaigns on biosafety in
institutions and communities.
o Encourage a culture of prevention against
biological risks.
6. Ethics and Responsibility
o Promote the application of responsible codes of
conduct in biomedical and biotechnological
research.
o Promote biosecurity as a tool against the
intentional misuse of biological agents.
