Bouchra BELKADI
President

Professor and Researcher at the Microbiology and Molecular Biology Laboratory in the Faculty of Science of Rabat at the Med V University. She holds a master’s degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Paris VI, a diploma in Agricultural Engineering from the IAV Hassan II of Rabat and a PhD in Molecular Biology of plants of the Faculty of Science, UM5 Rabat. She teaches various subjects for bachelors and masters, namely; Microbiology, Virology and Molecular Biology. Her research area focuses on microbial and plant diversity and biotechnology. Since 2006, she has developed skills in the field of biohazard prevention, responsible science, biosafety and biosecurity. An expertise that she has expanded through the training and awareness of students and the scientific community. She is currently scientific manager of a mobile P3 laboratory.

 

Youssef EL HANI
Vice President

Doctor in biology, specialty “Governance and management of quality and risks in hospitals”, rich and diversified professional background at common intersection <quality, risk and biosafety – Biosecurity>, he held the position of quality manager and risk management at the Ibn Sina University Hospital Center in Rabat; internal auditor at CHU-IS; teacher – trainer and support for startups and certified intrapreneurship projects from Paris Dauphine University. And to enrich his professional skills and competences, in a world in perpetual technological evolution, he also successfully obtained the diploma of Master of business administration in E-Business and digital marketing.

 

Radia FATISSE
Vice president

She is a quality manager in agro-industry and an expert trainer consultant in food safety. She holds a master’s degree in Microbiological quality and health safety from the Faculty of Science of Rabat. She is a certified and qualified IRCA auditor with the AFNOR organization for conducting certification audits with Moroccan SMEs. She is also committed to the agrifood industry for training and consulting services in order to set and maintain quality systems in relation to several international standards and benchmarks including BRC, ISO 22000, ISO 9001, BIO labels, HALAL labels etc. She also supports agro-industries in obtaining approvals issued by ONSSA and FOODEX at the national level, as well as exports authorizations to the USA from the American organization FDA.

 

Mohammed ALAMI
General Secretary

Graduate of the Euro-African masters in Biosafety and Biosecurity. He is currently a Phd student specialized in Molecular Biology at the Faculty of Science of Rabat. Since 2017, he has been a high school teacher of ‘Sciences de la vie et de la terre’ in Rabat. He also taught the Biostatistics subject to master students in the FSR. He has been an active member of AMBS since 2016, where he participated in the organization and facilitation of several awareness-raising and training events on Biosafety and Biosecurity. In addition, he is an active member of the association MYBN (Moroccan Youth Biodiversity Network), AESVT (The Association of Teachers of Life and Earth Sciences) and a founding member of Lions clubs FSR.

 

Soukayna AARAB
Assistant Secretary

A graduate of the Euro-African masters in Biosafety and Biosecurity. Currently, a Phd student specialized in Virology at the Faculty of Science of Rabat. Her research topic is about infectious diseases. She received numerous awards and scholarships. She won the “Khadija Baddouri” prize for excellence awarded by the Horizons Foundation under the aegis of the France Fondation ‘Sciences de la Vie, Edition 2019’. She also received the best communication prize on Biosafety from the Robert Koch institute. She has participated in numerous conferences on Biosafety organized by American and European associations. She has been an active member of AMBS since 2016, and she has contributed to the organization of several awareness-raising caravans on Biosafety-Biosecurity where she led the training workshop on Biosafety. In addition to her activities at AMBS, she is a founding member of Lions clubs FSR.

 

Kaoutar AALILOUCH
Assistant Secretary

PhD student and research assistant at the department of veterinary pathologies and public health at the Agronomic and Veterinary Institute Hassan II. She holds a Euro-African master’s degree in Biosafety and Biosecurity at the Faculty of Science of Rabat. She also obtained a certificate of completion of one Health training program at Duke University in the United States. She is a former member of AMBS. She participated in the organization of several biosafety awareness caravans organized by AMBS in partnership with GIZ and the German RKI institute. She is also a member of the One Heath Maroc association, where she participated in several scientific events and activities.

 

Zahra TAKKI CHEBIHI
Treasurer

A Phd graduate specialized in Biology of human pathologies at the Faculty of Science of Rabat. She is currently a temporary professor within the said faculty with participation in various research works in the field of pediatric onco-hematology. She is also a biologist specialized in conventional cytogenetics in a laboratory of medical analysis in Rabat. She is responsible for the control and implementation of the quality process within the laboratory, ensuring continuous training of the personnel in biosafety, which involves compliance with good laboratory practices, risk management regarding both the direct and indirect handling of biological and chemical substances that presents a potential danger for the practitioner and for the working environment. She is a founding member of the Moroccan Association for Sanitary Biosecurity.

 

Mohammed Amine Bahir
Vice-Treasurer

A graduate of the Euro-African master’s degree in Biosafety and Biosecurity in 2016 and member of the Moroccan association for biosafety since 2014. Currently doctoral student in microbiology and molecular biology at the national institute of hygiene in the department of food hygiene and analysis of waters and occupies a post of temporary teacher of animal biology at IAV Hassan II Rabat. He also participated in the organization of 4 biosafety awareness caravans organized by AMBS in partnership with GIZ and the German RKI institute throughout Morocco by providing awareness days as a facilitator of practical workshops on transportation of hazardous materials. Amine is also a founding member of Lions club FSR (2018-2019).

 

Meryeme BENNIS
Advisor

Graduate of the Euro-African masters in Biosafety and Biosecurity of 2019. Currently, a Phd student specialized in microbiology and molecular biology of soil at the Faculty of Science of Rabat. She won the “Khadija Baddouri” prize for excellence awarded by the Horizons Foundation under the aegis of the France Fondation ‘Sciences de la Vie, Edition 2019’. She has been an active member of AMBS since 2018. She is also a founding member and general secretary of Lions clubs FSR (2018-2019).

 

Asmae TANTANE
Advisor

Chief Engineer, Head of the Biochemistry-Hematology Department and Reference Laboratory for neonatal screening for congenital diseases at the Institut National d’Hygiène du Maroc. She is IFBA-certified in biorisk management, an internal auditor in quality management and a laureate of the Euro African Master in Biosafety and Biosecurity at the Rabat Faculty of Science. In addition to her management responsibilities, she shares her expertise through teaching. She has taught the risk management module and the clinical biochemistry module to Master’s students. In addition to teaching, she is involved in health research, supervising numerous end-of-study projects for master’s students at various universities.

 

Mohammed Choukri BELKADI
Advisor

Doctor of Pharmacy, hygienist and dietician, he holds senior positions as Senior Manager and Marketer of healthcare products and services. He is an active member of the CGEM Sustainable Development Commission in Morocco, where he is Regional Chairman for the Fès-Meknès region and Vice-Chairman of the Decarbonation Commission. He is also an expert in green entrepreneurship. In addition to his management responsibilities, he shares his expertise by teaching modules in medical nutrition and entrepreneurship at public and private universities.

 

Fatine HADRYA
Advisor

Research professor at Hassan Premier University, Institut Supérieur des Sciences de la Santé – Settat, Laboratoire Sciences et Technologies de la Santé, Unité de Recherche Sciences Biomédicales. She holds a Master’s degree in Microbiological Quality and Health Safety from the Faculty of Sciences, Rabat, and a National Doctorate in Life and Environmental Sciences – Epidemiology and Bio-statistics from the Faculty of Sciences, Kénitra. She did a post-doc in Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine and Odontology of the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). She teaches modules in bio-statistics, epidemiology and food safety. She works on all aspects of public health. Her work has been supported by several national and international grants and awards. She is now turning her attention to biosafety and biosecurity, and intends to make them a key focus of her research and training. She has been an AMBS member since 2020.

 

Leila MEDRAOUI
Advisor

Professor at the Faculty of Science, Mohammed V University, Rabat. D. in plant biotechnology, member of the Microbiology and Molecular Biology team and of the ICESCO Chair for Open Education team. Her research focuses on the genetic and genomic diversity of plants. Committed to promoting active learning, open education, ethics and scientific integrity, as well as biosafety and biosecurity. Member of the scientific and teaching committee of the Euro African Master in Biosafety and Biosecurity. A member of the AMBS board, she sits on the Steering Committee for the biosafety and biosecurity awareness and training caravans.
