IFBA in West Africa and the MENA Region

With an emphasis on collaboration and sharing knowledge, the new Middle-East North Africa (MENA) Regional Biorisk Management network is designed to link Biosafety Associations and partners in the region to move biosafety and biosecurity initiatives forward and serve as a “louder voice” for these important issues. The IFBA is also collaborating with the African Society for Laboratory Medicine to enhance multi-sectoral collaboration and foster partnerships between its members, government ministries, and other stakeholders.  An empowered, strong, and capable network of interconnected individuals and organizations and biosafety associations represents a critical asset in the region for preventing, preparing for, and responding to biological incidents.
